The idea
A few years ago, the client purchased a house in Bavaria and, after a long period of planning, was able to realize his dream: the addition of an indoor swimming pool. "The extension follows the line of the house. The house and indoor swimming pool should be perceived as a single unit," he explains. "And in my opinion, we have achieved this perfectly."
An important aspect of the planning was to make the swimming pool hall appear light-flooded and friendly. This wish was realized with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding doors. Thanks to the artificial lighting, the swimming pool hall shines even on dark winter days. The aim was to maintain a clear and simply elegant design. The decoration was chosen to be minimalist. Works of art collected while traveling add a special touch to the swimming pool hall.
The implementation
The 11 x 4.50 meter pool is made of waterproof concrete from Meyer Coatings GmbH und Co KG. An EcoFinish coating provides waterproofing and coating in one and makes an additional pool lining with tiles or other material superfluous.
The pool equipment includes the powerful BADU JET Turbo Pro counter-current system from SPECK Pumpen. With its flow-optimized and efficient propeller technology, the system achieves a volume flow of up to 350 m³/h and therefore makes even top athletes sweat. Seven different performance levels can be easily set using the integrated sensor buttons or remote control. This makes it suitable for every fitness level, from young to old.
"What I particularly like about the BADU JET Turbo Pro is the natural flow it creates. It feels like I'm swimming in open water," says the client.
The indoor swimming pool is completed with an integrated sauna from sopra supplier Arend, which opens up to the indoor pool with a floor-to-ceiling glass front.

The technology
The sopra partner Poolwelten & Meer GmbH was commissioned to install the swimming pool technology. The equipment includes a Calplas filter system with AFM filter material and a multi-port valve. The BADU Blue Pro is used for pool control. It enables the measurement and dosing of chlorine and pH care products with simple and smart operation.
The BADU Blue Pro in conjunction with the BADU Omni actuator ensures regular backwashing of the filter system. A fully automatic and therefore time-saving alternative to the manual backwash valve. The speed-controlled BADU Delta Eco VS circulation pump, which is also controlled via the pool control unit, is also installed.
The builder is particularly impressed by the pool pump's low power consumption and low operating noise. A heat exchanger provides heating in the pool. The BADU Blue Pro control system continuously ensures the perfect water temperature.
